The facilities of 9 out of 10 of its faculties and common use spaces are located in Santiago’s historic center. For example, the Nicanor Parra Library, the Classroom Building, the Central House, and the Sports Centre are located here. This urban campus integrates university life with city life. The infrastructure located in this area reflects, as a whole, the identity of UDP. Over the last few years, two heritage houses have been recovered, expanding the premises of the Faculty of Law and Psychology. Two more buildings were recently inaugurated, increasing the spaces of the Faculty of Architecture, Art, and Design and the Faculty of Education.
The Faculty of Economy and Business is located in a section of the Business City. This is a 3-hectare business campus situated in one of the most significant business areas in the country with spacious and modern facilities. This new building meets sustainability standards and has or has already applied for LEED certification (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) granted by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Council is an American non-for-profit foundation that promotes the design and construction of sustainable buildings.
